Private Beach Clambake Experience
Our private beach clambake experience at Chatham Bars Inn returns for the 2026 summer season, offering a one-of-a-kind evening on the upper beach.
Open to the public as well as members and guests of the Inn, this unforgettable experience includes a private dining table with elegant coastal décor, a dedicated bonfire, and tiki torches for each party—accommodating up to 10 guests. Each clambake is hosted by one of the Inn’s chefs, who prepares a multi-course, family-style dinner starting with a welcome glass of UP Rosé and appetizers, followed by a live lobster pit reveal and dinner featuring fresh local seafood, steak, and vegetables from the Chatham Bars Inn Farm. The evening concludes with a family-style dessert served fireside.
The event begins at 5:30 PM and includes a chef-led demonstration at each firepit as well as at the Inn’s traditional clambake pit. Three private parties are hosted most Sundays through Thursdays from June 17th - August 27th.
$1,200 per Private Clambake for the evening (includes dinner for 4) with personal bonfire.
$300 for each additional guest (up to 8 people)
$150 per additional child (ages 5-12)

Advance reservations are required and may be made through our Dining Concierge at 508-945-6732. Cancellations within 48 hours of the clambake will incur a full charge.
Inclement weather Policy
It is at the discretion of Chatham Bars Inn to cancel the clambake due to weather. In the event of a weather-related cancellation, you will be offered a complimentary reservation at Beach House Grill. Unfortunately, due to the unpredictability of Cape Cod weather, conditions can change at the last minute. We will do everything in our power to ensure you have an enjoyable evening and will notify you within a reasonable amount of time. We will also do our best to reschedule your clambake for another available date. Should we need to cancel due to weather, you will not be charged.
