Engineering
Chief Engineer Position
Location: Chatham, MA (On-site) | Type: Full-time | Salary Range: $130k–$140k
The Role
The Chief Engineer is a vital leadership position responsible for the stewardship of our physical estate. You will oversee the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of all building, mechanical, and electrical systems. Your mission is to ensure seamless resort functionality while managing a skilled team of technicians and coordinating essential renovations.
Key Qualifications
- Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
- Strategic Oversight: Proven ability in preventative maintenance planning and complex troubleshooting.
- Leadership: Strong experience managing personnel and maintaining high-performance standards.
- Compliance: Comprehensive knowledge of safety protocols and operational standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred; hospitality experience is a significant plus.

Resort Kitchen Appliance Technician
Location: Chatham, MA (On-site) | Type: Full-time | Hourly Range: $35.00 / hr – $36.00 / hr
The Role
The Resort Kitchen Appliance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen appliances across the resort’s dining venues. This includes ensuring all equipment functions efficiently and safely in order to support daily food service operations.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues with kitchen appliances and refrigeration units.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment such as: Commercial ovens, stoves, grills, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, dishwashers, food processors, and other small appliances.
- Install new appliances and ensure proper setup and calibration.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Collaborate with culinary and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly, including nights/weekends if needed.
- Assist with equipment upgrades and renovations during off-peak seasons.
Key Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial kitchen appliance repair (2+ years preferred).
- Technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or appliance repair is a plus.
- Qualified to work with natural gas.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-demand environments.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.

Hotel Upholsterer
Location: Chatham, MA (On-site) | Type: Full-Time | Hourly Range: $55-$60 / hour
The Role
The Hotel Upholsterer is responsible for the repair, restoration, and maintenance of upholstered furniture, drapery, wall panels, and related fabric furnishings within the hotel. This role ensures that all guest-facing and back-of-house upholstered items are well-maintained, comfortable, and presentable, contributing to the overall guest experience and the hotel’s standard of quality.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and maintain upholstered furniture including chairs, sofas, headboards, cushions, and panels.
- Replace or repair fabrics, foams, webbing, springs, and padding as needed.
- Cut, measure, and fit fabrics according to design and hotel standards.
- Maintain drapery and fabric wall coverings, repairing or replacing them when necessary.
- Ensure all work is performed with precision, maintaining the hotel’s brand quality and aesthetic.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and engineering to identify and prioritize repair needs.
- Maintain inventory of upholstery materials, fabrics, tools, and supplies.
- Follow safety standards and proper use of upholstery tools and equipment.
- Assist with special projects such as reupholstering furniture during renovations or refresh programs.
- Provide professional advice on fabric selection and durability when replacements are needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an upholsterer, preferably in a hospitality or commercial environment.
- Skilled in fabric cutting, sewing, stitching, and upholstery repair techniques.
- Knowledge of various upholstery materials and their care.
- Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and finishing quality.
- Ability to read measurements, patterns, and work with hand/power tools safely.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift or move heavy furniture pieces.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Work Conditions:
- May require standing, bending, lifting, and use of manual and power tools.
- Work performed both in workshop settings and within hotel guest rooms/public areas.
- Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays, depending on hotel needs.
