A Tomato for Every Taste

This summer, 32 varieties of tomatoes are growing throughout the Farm’s fields and greenhouses, each offering its own unique flavor, color and character. From Blue Tonic and Marmango to Lemon Boy, Purple Althea, Sun Gold and Harvest Moon, these vibrant tomatoes make their way into dishes throughout the Inn.

During the summer months, guests can also experience the harvest for themselves through tomato tastings at Bayview Terrace, where they can sample a selection of varieties and choose a favorite to enjoy on a wood-fired pizza.

Meet Our Farm Team

Behind every harvest is a dedicated team bringing passion, care and plenty of hard work to everything we grow. Leading the Farm team are Farm Manager Shane Chambers and Assistant Farm Manager Jasmin Lava, who oversee the day-to-day cultivation and care of the fields and greenhouses. At the Farm Stand, Farm Stand Manager Christine Shea helps bring the season’s freshest offerings directly to guests and the local community.

Our Riverview Team

As part of our ongoing partnership with the Friends Together program, Ava Klaetke, Keegan Hunt, Tim Cronin, Andrew Ferrara and Colin Ledoux have been hard at work on the farm all season as an integral part of the farm team. The program supports former Riverview School students through personal growth, community involvement and meaningful connections. Their work ethic, enthusiasm and sense of joy are contagious!

Experience the Farm

There are plenty of ways to experience Chatham Bars Inn Farm. Guests can explore the fields through Farm Tours, get hands-on with Interactive Classes, dine among the crops during our Greenhouse Dinner Series and celebrate the season at events like the Tomato Festival and Fall Frolic. The seasonal Farm Stand also offers an opportunity to take a little piece of the Farm home with you, featuring fresh produce and other seasonal favorites.
