Chatham Bars Inn Cooking School
Whether you are already an accomplished at-home Chef or someone who has been wanting to sharpen up your cooking skills or learn something new, join our Chatham Bars Inn Cooking School. Our classes take place every Thursday and include instruction, tastings and a fully prepared family-style meal. Menu changes weekly, classes are held 6pm - 8pm and are $65 per person plus tax and gratuity unless otherwise noted. Reservations are highly recommended, please call Concierge at 508-945-6871.

December 19 - Gadgets Galore- Must haves for your culinary Christmas wish list and how to use them
Attention all budding chefs and foodies: Get ready for the inside scoop on all the best gadgets to add to your collection just in time for your Christmas list. Learn the favorite tools our chefs arm themselves with to take on day-to-day prep and make cooking easier. In this class you will have the chance to test out these tools on recipes and taste all your creations. If you’re serious about cooking and your tools, you won’t want to miss this class!
December 26 - The “A”s to “Z”s of Cheese
Cheese, Glorious Cheese! From Asiago to Zamorano, there are thousands of types of cheese, one of the world’s most delicious and versatile foods. Join us as we highlight all things CHEESE in this fun class where you’ll learn from our expert team about dozens of different types of cheese, how to pair cheese with various foods, where to find the best or most elusive cheeses and how to turn them into amazingly tasty treats from appetizers to main courses to desserts. Say cheese!
January 2 - Brunch
Nothing rings in the New Year like champagne toasts and eggs benedict! During this class you will learn to make a traditional hollandaise sauce for your “eggs benny” along with the perfect Belgian waffles and compote. Happy New Year!
January 9 - New Year, New You
We are pairing the latest food trends with the perfect balance for your life. Join Chef Jackie as you take on the new year learning the benefits of juicing, cooking with lean foods and kicking the year off right with healthy lifestyle changes.
January 16 - Keto Friendly Cooking
Keto is the popular “no sugar, low carbohydrate, high in healthy fats” trend going strong into the new year. Join Chef Jackie in learning healthy alternatives to your favorite high sugar/ carb loaded food. You’ll leave the class with high energy and tips on how to incorporate healthy fats into your diet!
January 23 - Meal Planning Master
Busy weeks with nothing planned for dinner? Chef Jackie has the solution! She will teach you quick and simple dishes that will last you and your family the entire week without conflicting with your busy day-to-day life schedule. Make things easier on yourself in 2020.
January 30 - Pasta Pasta
Pasta is always a crowd-pleaser and this class will teach you how to transform eggs and flowers into incredible pasta dishes. Whether you like cooking, working with your hands, or if your focus is more on eating Italian style, this class will highlight all three culminating in a sit-down meal to taste all your creations.
February 6 - Winter Soup
Happiness is . . . hot soup on a cold day. Join us for this cozy class where you will learn to make stock and transform it into 3 wonderful soups to keep you warm all winter!
February 13 - Valentine’s Day Dinner for Two
The perfect date night idea! Learn to sear steak to perfection over a glass of wine with your loved one and complete the experience with decadent chocolate covered strawberries.
February 20 - Back to Basics
Rewind and start at the beginning. The best way to assure success in the kitchen is to first make sure you’ve got your basics. Come practice all the basics with us while we chop, dice, sauté, sear… you name it! Let us arm you with all the little talents and tricks you need to feel confident taking on any recipe.
February 27 - Cooking + Mixology
Chef Jackie and our Master Mixologist Adam Couto team up to offer you a fantastic opportunity to create beautiful food and pair it with craft cocktails. The perfect combination!
All of the classes we offer feature groups preparing one or more dishes, contributing to the whole menu prepared by the entire class. Participants should feel comfortable working within a timeframe and from a recipe guided by the instructor, while also learning about the subject and observing other recipes being prepared. Each class will conclude with tasting of all the dishes.
