Chatham Bars Inn Cooking School

Whether you are already an accomplished at-home Chef or someone who has been wanting to sharpen up your cooking skills or learn something new, join our Chatham Bars Inn Cooking School. Our classes take place every Thursday and include instruction, tastings and a fully prepared family-style meal. Menu changes weekly, classes are held 6pm - 8pm and are $65 per person plus tax and gratuity unless otherwise noted. Reservations are highly recommended, please call Concierge at 508.945.6871.

CANCELED: March 19- Seafood


Learn to shuck, sear and serve the freshest seafood Chatham has to offer. Master simple and delicious dishes like roasted oysters and seared catch of the day, focusing on what is local. The class concludes with a family style meal where you can enjoy what you’ve created.

Cooking and mixology – the perfect combination! Chef Jackie and our Master Mixologist Adam Couto team up to offer you a fantastic opportunity to create beautiful food and pair it with craft cocktails. This month, the focus of this popular class will be BBQ and whiskey.

Dumplings, Sushi and more! Learn to make delicious spring rolls, shrimp dumplings and create your own maki rolls.


April 9 - Traditional Farm Country


Fresh from the fields, this spring menu incorporates the best of the week’s produce. Learn all about the spring harvest and create a meal that’s fresh and local!


April 16 – Plant-Based Cuisine


Interested in incorporating a healthier cuisine into your diet? Create some tasty plant-based dishes that everyone at your table will enjoy. Learn to build flavor through herbs, spices and cooking with good friends!


April 23 - Spice it Up! Indian Curries


The aroma of toasted fragrant spices warms everyone's hearts. Learn how to cook some Indian inspired dishes that are big on flavor like vegetable samosas and traditional Chai Masala.


April 30 – Seafood & Gin

May 7 – The Art of Tapas


Spanish-inspired small plates are a popular format for a casual dinner party. Learn the art of creating a wide range of mouth-watering tapas from mini chorizo empanadas and stuffed mussels to potato croquettes. Get ready to impress your guests!


May 21 - Heirloom Tomatoes


The “best of the best” tomatoes are definitely from heirloom seeds. Sample a wide variety, from Cherry to Beefsteak, from our Chatham Bars Inn Farm. Learn to make a number of seasonal dishes with these summer gems.


May 28 – Smoking, Chocolate & Bourbon


Cooking and mixology – the perfect combination! Chef Jackie and our Master Mixologist Adam Couto team up to offer you a fantastic opportunity to create beautiful food and pair it with craft cocktails. This month, the focus of this popular class will be on smoking, chocolate and bourbon.

Participation Level


All of the classes we offer feature groups preparing one or more dishes, contributing to the whole menu prepared by the entire class. Participants should feel comfortable working within a timeframe and from a recipe guided by the instructor, while also learning about the subject and observing other recipes being prepared. Each class will conclude with tasting of all the dishes.
