What could be more inviting than an authentic New England-style tavern? The Tavern at Chatham Bars Inn is cozy and comfortable, warm and welcoming with its rustic vaulted ceiling, brass chandelier and timeworn wood-paneled walls.

Oceanfront Dining in Cape Cod
Located on the sands of Chatham Bars Inn private beach, the Beach House Grill is the best spot on Cape Cod for oceanfront dining. Immerse yourself in the Cape Cod experience at the Beach House Grill, this unique indoor/outdoor restaurant is family-friendly, offering only the freshest seasonal seafood and casual dining fare. Relax and enjoy white table cloth dining indoors or have a lobster roll and signature cocktails on the deck outside overlooking the pool and the Atlantic Ocean. Lunch is served daily, and summer dinners are extra-special with family theme nights including Cape Cod Clambake and A Taste of the Caribbean.

Guests have enjoyed sunrises and picture-perfect ocean views from the Veranda since the opening of Chatham Bars Inn in 1914. We recently added seating, luxury furnishings and expanded our offerings. Today, guests can enjoy fresh salads, gourmet Panini sandwiches, evening tapas and cocktails while enjoying sweeping views of Pleasant Bay and the Atlantic Ocean from our newly renovated Veranda at the Main Inn.

Served daily in the South Lounge, our Afternoon Tea invites you to linger on a comfortable sofa near a roaring fire, while you sip the finest teas and infusions, and nibble finger sandwiches, tea breads, cakes and savories—all freshly prepared in the Chatham Bars Inn kitchen.

Charles Hardy Bar
The Charles Hardy Bar adjoining the new Harbor View Room Restaurant, is CBI's traditional Cape Cod setting where guests can enjoy a relaxing pre-dinner cocktail with a tempting variety of hors d'oevres. The room is designed for the individual diner looking for a relaxing and intimate club like atmosphere where children are not permitted. If you are interested in hosting a group of friends for a private event, this room can accommodate 25-50 guests.
Harbor View Room
The Harbor View Restaurant is CBI's new specialty restaurant with a culinary focus on fresh Cape Cod seafood picked up daily from the Chatham Harbor Fish Pier. It is the most intimate of the four restaurants in the resort operation and caters to dining couples seeking a quiet and romantic ambiance without the presence of children. This adult only room can accommodate private events for up to 75 guests if you are interested in hosting guests during your stay.
