Chatham Bars Inn offers an unbelievably broad range of active pursuits, including excursions to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket on one of our private boats, offshore and deep sea fishing, whale watching, barrier beach walks, tennis, croquet and biking to name a few making it virtually impossible for guests to become bored. More subdued passions are equally easy to pursue, such as relaxing in the spa, an antique car tour or enjoying Afternoon Tea.

Adventure for all ages

Our award-winning children's programs promise to make each child's visit to Chatham Bars Inn unforgettable. Kid's programs are offered mid late-June through early September with morning and evening sessions. Every activity is hands-on, active, innovative and educational, with an emphasis on fun! Your child's safety is a primary concern. Therefore, all our counselors and activities leaders are experienced and certified in CPR and first aid. Ask about our services for children with special needs, including autism.

Beach Buddies

Children ages 4 to 6. Interactive games, arts and crafts activities, and mini-adventures keep the children happy and busy. Day programs include exploring the seashore, playing tennis, making cookies and a 'Creature Feature' presentation. Evenings are filled with themed events including a pirate & princess adventure, talent show and pajama party.

Clam Diggers

Children ages 7 to 9. Edible Art, Dune Buggy Derby, Wacky Beach Olympics and a Crazy Hat Parade are just a few of the exciting activities offered for Clam Diggers. Evenings are always an adventure - Drive-In Movies, photo scavenger hunts and costume karaoke are just the beginning!



 

Wash-a-shores

Children ages 10 to 12. Embark on some zany adventures out and about, on the property and off. Venture by boat to the outer beach or by trolley to Main Street for lunch. Or, stay on the grounds for cooking classes, scavenger hunts, tennis and other challenges.  Evening activities include beach parties with bonfires, Wii competitions, Chatham A's games and the always fun (and wet) Boat Regatta!
 

Wave Runners

Young adults will enjoy our new program for ages 13-17, offering a wide range of activities, seven days a week. Activities include an adventure to Morris Island, lobstering, karaoke, DDR competitions, beach volleyball and a 'Voluntourism' experience with the Cape Cod Hook Fishermen's Association.
